"Each piece must feel special", says Oakville, Ontario designer Deborah Atley as she peruses her 2009 lingerie collection. She prides herself in designing and manufacturing garments specifically for those who 'appreciate the difference'.
The ebullient designer believes that when it comes to lingerie, there is no alternative to silk. "The way it glides over the body provides a sensuousness that cannot be duplicated", Deborah adds, never hiding her belief that one can remain sophisticated while, at the same time possessing a "daring sensual appeal". To that end, she frequently incorporates the finest lace from Calais, France in her spectacular collection.
It was on Canada's west coast that Deborah Atley Lingerie was born in 1983. Success came quickly and her luxurious, tasteful designs were soon available to discerning Canadian women from coast-to-coast.
